FREEPORT • An accident on
Mcadowbrook Parkway early
Saturday morning claimed the life
'orF77-ycilf "Old^Frecport - man-
Jose Navas, of Archer Street, was
working on his disabled car In the
parkway's southbound fane when
another car skidded into his vehicle,
according to police reports.
The incident occurred about 3
am when a car, driven by Carmen
J. Lombardo of Hempstead,
struck Navas' stalled car. According
to Parkway police, Navas
-was—pinned—ondcmcatfa—-the~
wreckage and pronounced dead at
the scene. Lombardo was treated
for A facial cut at Nassau Mcdacal
Center. He was released but
charged with driving while intoxicated.
Police said he would be
arraigned August 11 in First District
Court.
