passed their school budget on its second submission Tuesflay. June 20.
A total of 3,716 residents, voted; 732 more than out ballots on the
school l}udget line in its first submission. At that time. May 24, 104
.more voters- turned thumbs down on the budget, than approved it.

This week's vote saw. .Archer
Street School area residents
voting 355 yes to 381 no. At-
AtkinsoQ., the vote was 304 yes,
244 no. Bayview Avenue School
area voters Voted 396 yes to 525
no.'At Qeveland Avenue School,,
-146 of those who voted were in
the yes column with only four
voting' no. Columbus Avenue-by
the voters represents continued,
evidence of "their concern _
for.quality'education in Freeport.
We^will- continue to strive for
educational-excellence for each
student in our schools."<But in a
word, a ^Inroad-smiled, happy
