Zoning Board of Appeals.
\ At the VlUage Board's open
legislative session on May 28, the '
Board noted, that. the Planning
Board had approved plans for the
five house subdivision which
would extend back along a cul-du-'
sac from South Bayview Avenue,
between Smith and Rose Street.
The plans would allow use of the
present vacant, fire-damaged
residence', facing South Bavview,
which would be repaired, and
four new dwellings along the new
street.
The Planning Board approved
the plans for the four new houses,
^although they would not have 75

the "AA" Zone in which the site
is located. While the presently
built house would have a 79 foot
frontage,' the four . yet uncon-structed
dwellings would have
only a 50 foot frontages. All,
DiGrazia said, would have a
minimum '^uare footage of
.7£Jffl)_tquare feet.
/ DiGrazia pointed out that the
Planning Board has the right to
waive the frontage restriction

Residents of the area ezprcssed
some dismay to THE LEADER,
pobting out that although they
favored repair" arid reuse of the
property, they were questioning
the right of any village commission
to ignore "AA" zoning
requirement*. The feeling was
that fewer homes, perhaps three,
would allow for adequate and
legal frontage.
