usual village Board of Trustees
meeting Monday night. June 18,
dealt with a multitude of problems
ranging from the demolition
of fire-desttoyed buildings to
police procedures when dealing
with bicycles on the MaD.
In three of four scheduled
demolition proceedings -T> all fire
damaged — the board voted to
order demolition of the structures.
The fourth, at 100 Freeport
Man, had not been invcdved In a
fire. Owned by the EsUte of
David Levy, wUch is bandied by
Long Island Trust, t i ^ building
was termed dangerous because

bank agreed that unless-repairs
were made within 20 working
days; the village could do so and

ALBANY • Freeport schools will receive almost SIOO.OOO in additional
State Aid money for the 1979-80 school year. the.result of two
bills passed by the legislature in the closing days of this session.
Superintendent of Schools Donald Costlow thanked State Senator
Norman J. Le>-y and Assemblyman Armand D'Amato for their help and
assistance in securing the additional
money
Levy and D'Amato had successfully
worked to bdude. in the
State's Supplemental Budget, a
$56,000 innovative grant. The
inoney will fund Frecpnt's
propoMd expansion to the
secondary school leyel, of its
tutibnally recognlxed computer-assisted
teaching program.

him plunging into the basement.
He suffered a fractured ankle and
