Village Tax increase May Be 10'
Three Months Of Meetings
Keeps New Budget Down
FREEPORT • The lowest tax Increase in a decade seema to be this
year's holiday present for Frecport village taxpayers. At a budget
workshop session, held Saturday December 15. the Village Board of
Trustees were able to finish up their preliminary work on the village's
1980-81 budget and announce that it appeared that taxpayers would
get approximately a lOt In-

Churches Arraigned
FREEPORT -The landlords of seven storefront'churches, located on
North Main Street, were arraigned in Freeport Village Court Thursday,
December 13, for violation of a village ordinance. The law they .were
accused of violating prohibits-places of public assembly.without
necessary off-street parking.
