The Baldwin Fire Department
had responded to a signal 10 at
about 9:50 that morning. A gasoline
tanker was on Tire at the
station, located on the.comet of
Merrick Road and Central Avenue.
The tanker lad not loplured or
exploded and it was important that
the blaze be extinguished carefully
due to the heavily populated surrounding
area.. .
Fire department personnel at the

Mrs. Wengler was taken froni the
scene as her husband barricaded

Justice Ralph Franco on April 19

on 14 summonses issued to him by
the Freeport Building Department.
The summonses were for missing
tiles and boles in the ceiling

vehicles, maintaining a driveway
below grade which collects stagnant

session, Rosetta Cave of Hempstead,
owner of a one-family house
at 30 Njorth Columbus Avenue,
was conditionally fined S 1.775 on
10 summonses. The summonses
were issued for uncut grass and
weeds exceeding eight inches, rental
of the house without the neces-
