their parking violations or face
a fine of $250. That was the decision
of Judge Ralph Franco in
Village Court last Thursday,
August 16.

complauied about the many
cars parked at the. curb throughout

. MINEOLA - The Freeport and
Baldwiii School Districts are two
of the seven school districts in
Nassau County with decreases in
assessment.' according lo Abe
Seidin. chairman of (he Nassau
County Board of Assessors.
Seidin recently released figures
showing a county-wide total
taxable value of $3,713,928,758,
an inaease over (he previous
year's figures of $38,259,303 or
1.041%.
Freeport's decrease in assessment
was .09% or 169,867. The
school distria's taxable valuation
in 1983-84 was $79,186,443; in
Ihe currenl year, 1984-85, it is
$79,116,576.
Four other school districts
have larger or Ihe same decreases
than Freeport; Hempstead, with
