Contributions to the 1955 Salvation
Army fund raising campaign

the first weekly gathering of workers
Monday night in headquarters,

has set Wednesday, June IS. ws the
date for a referendum on a proposal
to acquire 16 acres of the
Milburn Pond tract facing on West
Sunrise Highway, as the site for a
new Preeport High Scliool at a cost
of $18,000 fixed by tlie Board of
Estimate of New York City. The
property involved is that fronting
on West Sunrlese Hlgliwny.
In addition, Ute Board is asking
an additional amount, not to exceed
$'?,000. to cover the cost of
Incidentals In connection with the
acquisition of the property. If the
project is approved, tlie money will
be taken from surplus funds and no
bond Issue will be Involved In t he
transaction.
