Homicide arrests
The Nassau police Homicide Squad reports the arrest of two Freeporters in connection with a homicide that occurred on Sunday, July 15, in Freeport.
At approximately 12:30 a.m. the body of Miguel Adames, 22, of Freepon, was found on the sidewalk at the comer of Church Street and Raynor Street.
On July 17 detectives report the arrest of Maynor A. Murcia, 25, of Commercial Street, and a 16-year-oId male resident of Lillian Avenue. Both have been charged with murder. On July 18 Alfted J. Flores, 19, of Westbury, was also arrested in connection with this crime. He is charged with Gang Assault.

The Gang Investigation Squad (GIS) reports the arrest of three suspects for possession of loaded handguns and Conspiracy to Commit Murder, on July 15 at 11 p.m., in Freeport.
According to detectives, the defendants were stopped for multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law violations by members of the GIS who, subsequent to investigation, found the three to be in possession of two loaded and defaced handgims, one .9 mm and one .38 caliber. Further investigation, conducted in cooperation with the Homicide Squad, revealed the tiiree were en route to conmnit a homicide.
Arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Cotmnit Murder and multiple counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon ate:
Cristobal Menjivar, 27, of Uniosdale;
Moises K Pena, 19, of North Main Street, Freeport;
Marvin F. Cortez, 26. of North Main Street, Rreeport.
