Bethpage Scliool Board held on
Tuesday evening the Budget for
the school jear 1941-42 was one
of the main topics on the calendar.
After spending consideraJble time
on each item of the budget it was

in a tentative form. A number of
improvements in the school are
anticipated for the coming year
and although some of the budget
items might show a slight in-crease,
the actual budget cannot
be stated until a final review can
be had.
One of the principals items is
lighting, and as the auditorium
lighting has proven to be so sat-iisfactory
it is felt that the same
type of lightiaig would be very ad-vantageouss
in the classrooms.
The decorating of the auditori-um
and the painting of the new
iron staircase is expected to be
finished during the Easter vaca-tion
so that the auditorium and
staircase will Ibe completed in
time for the graduation exercises.
The budget will be presented to
the voter of the ditrict at the an-nual
