J.F.K. Middle School Students Honor Trooos Overseas
Eighth-grade students in Tom Scarola's and Theresa Schneider's Family and Consumer Science classes at John F. Kennedy
Middle School in the Bethpage Union Free School District embarked on a Service Learning Project in conjunction with Northrop
Grumman and the United Service Organizations (USO).
The students wrote thank you letters and letters of inspiration to military personnel stationed overseas, honoring them for all that
they do for our country. On the face of each letter were the following words: "Thank you for your courage and dedication. Thank you
for my freedom."
