Becker Helps
Hannibals Pub
Dilemma
Assemblyman Gregory Becker
has been receiving many com-plaints
from Lynbrook residents
about the deplorable conditions
that exist at "Hannibals Pub"
at 275 Broadway, ' Lynbrook.
Upon receiving these com-plaints,
which include street
fighting, drunkeness and prop-erty
damage, he immediately
contacted the State Liquor
Authority to eliminate some of
the red tape involved in bringing
charges against Hannibals Pub,
Becker spoke to the State
Liquor Authority on several oc-casions.
As a result the case has
been assigned to an attorney at
the SLA for adjudication.
After long and tedious work
between the State Liquor Auth-ority,
Becker said "a charge of
complaints has been sent to
Hannibals Pub which has two
weeks to respond. After the
response is received I will move
quickly to set a hearing date."
The State Liquor Authority was
quoted as saying "that this is
the first step in procuring a
hearing," Assemblyman Becker
was pleased to say that "through
the join efforts of my office
and that of the SLA this prob-lem
with Hannibals Pub will
hopefully come to an end in the
near future."
Assemblyman Becker will be
notifying all those directly
affected by the Pub to keep
them informed of the progress
being n^ade.
