the next regular meeting of the Tri
Town Conser\'ative Club will take
place on Thursday, Jan. 9th, at 8:30
p.m. in the American Legion Hall,
71 Main Street, East Rockaway.

Brit Connors Nominated
For Lynbrook C. C. Prexy
The Annual General Meeting of the Lynbrook Chamber of
Commerce, Inc. will be held on Tuesday evening, Jan. 21st, at
6:15 p.m. at Garbarino's Restaurant, 12 Watkins St., Lynbrook.
Reports from Committees, Treasurer, the Executive Secretary,
and the 1964 message and recommendations of President John
Kenneth Soehner will be given at the meeting.

Against Mangravite
Village Party Attorney Martin Weinstein has announced that
the New York State Attorney General's Office has confirmed re-ceiving
his (Weinstein) letter "in the nature of re-arugment."
Weinstein stated the letter, wliich reciuested the attorney general
to reconsider his decision, on the charges brought by the Village
Party, to have Mayor George Mangravite removed from office,
has isecn referred to Mr. Lefkowitz and a copy sent to Anthony
Scuderi, attorney for the mayor.

Anthony Scuderi, speaking on be-half
of his client, stated that wlien
he first heard of the letter sent Iw
Weinstein, he was rather "surprised,"
as it is the general custom amongst
attorneys to forward copies of any
acklitional acticm, to one another. ' I
don't know wiiat Mr. Weinstein said
in the letter, as to date, I have not
received a copy from him." Scuderi
stated.
" I am confident," Scuderi said,
"that whatever action they (the Vil-lage
Party) might take, the Mayor
will be e x o n e r a t e d of all their
charges." "After all," he continued,
"the highest legal ofl^icer in the state
has ruled in our favor."

Farrington Seeks
Meeting To Discuss
Fair "Impact"
Recognizing the possible impact
of the World's Fair on local com-mimities,
Hempstead Town Presid-ing
Supervisor Palmer D. Farrington
called for a meeting with the office
of Rf)bert Moses to determine the
probable imijlications.
The meeting was requested in a
letter sent to Moses by Farrington
in behalf of the Hempstead Town
Board. The text of the letter fol-lows:
"Om- Town Board has been con-sidering
for sometime the probable
impact on our commvmities residt-ing
from the opening of the World's
Fair on April 22, 1964.
"We would greatly appreciate it.
if you would arrange to have a rep-resentative
of your office meet with
lis in order to discuss the possible
implications relating to traffic, hous-ing,
safety, etc., which might aflect
the welfare of the residents of oiu"
town. We believe that any sugges-tions
or recommendations made by
your office would be extremely help-ful.

to purchase a trailer for summer
camping.
