Personalities
by Annette Ling
One of the most interesting and
dynamic personalities to join our
area liere in Lynbrook, U.S.A. is
our new Police Surgeon, Dr.
Dudley Weber. Many people do
not seem to realize that Dr. Leo
Kaiser has retired and is in
Florida and that his former home
and some of his duties have fallen
on the capable shoulders of a
most medical man and great
human being.
Dr. Dudley Weber was born in
Brooklyn to Sam and Dorothy
Weber. His family moved to Far
Rockaway and he went to school
in Queens and graduated from
Hofstra College, now Hofstra
University, the University of
Bologna, Italy and has so many
special qualifications it is dif-ficult
for a lay person to put them
all down accurately. Dr. Weber is
a Diplomate of the American
Board of Pathology in
Anatomical and Clinical
Pathology. He is a Fellow of the
College of American Pathologists
and is a member of the Society of
Medical Jurisprudence. He is a
former Associate of the Medical
Examiner of the City of New
York and presently is Assistant
Professor of Pathology at a
Famed New York University.
Dr. Dudley and his lovely wife,
Linda are the parents of two fine
little boys, Adam, 4V2 years old
and Noah, age 2V2 years old.
Linda is a skilled R.N. and a
delightful lady in every sense
with beauty, charm, and brains.
Dr. Dudley studies in Italy and
his wife's family come from the
Italian Tyrol and her maiden
name was Linda Righi Miller. He
most enjoyed his studies and
travels in Italy and speaks many
Italian dialects and also pure
Italian with a faultless accent I
have been told. He jokes in
Italian and sometimes one wishes
one could understand but there
are plenty of people here in
Lynbrook who will be sure to
appreciate his infectious sense of
humor. He also speaks passable
German and Spanish but prefers
Italian and English.
The first thing I noticed about
Dr. Dudley Weber was his "ob-servant
and trained eyes and his
kindly face and manner. He is a
patient and dedicated medical
man if there ever was one. He
sees patients by appointments
and is the type of rare doctor so
rare now who really worries
about his patients. He has one of
the most brilliant and interesting
minds of any person I have had
the pleasure of talking to for
many years having studies a host
of unusual and varied subjects
along with his medical work. His
hobbies are repairing porcelain
and reading and working on his
experiments. He is interested in
some research which could well
affect all of the world's
population some day. The
