Last Call For
I. D. Marks Saturday November 24th will
be your last chance until next
spring to have members of the
Malverne Rotary Club engrave
protective I.D. marks on your
bicycle. Marking your bike will
make it easier for you and the
Police Department it it is stolen.
Recovered stolen bikes can easily
be identified and returned to the
owner when they are properly
marked. The Malverne Police
Department maintains a file of
all bikes engraved by the Rotary
Club.
Join the hundreds of other
bicycle owners who have taken
steps to protect their bikes. Conic
to the Malverne Police Depart-ment
parking lot on Saturday
November 241 h between 9:00 a.m.
and 12 noon. The members of the
Malverne Rotary are grateful to
the Malverne Police Department
lor its cooperation in making this
project such a tremendous
success.
Halloween Costume Winners
Humanitarian Award Presented
At a meeting of Men's Club of
Temple Kmanu-el of Lynbrook
Mr. Benjamin Lipton |L] of
Malverne was presented with the
Humanitarian Award of the year
by Jacque Sunimerfield fR],
president of Men's Club.
Benjamin II. Lipton is a
director of the Joseph Bulova
School of Watchmaking which
offers courses and rehabilitation
adjustment programs to
physically handicapped adults.
Mr. Lipton who is a pioneer in
wheelchair basketball since 1947,
launched the first Wheelchair
(iames in the United States.
