Mayor Clacken repeatedly pointed out the fact that this action
is not against the right of the unions to strike, (this right is given bjr
law), but the legal action Is against the continuance of the non-opera-.
tloB of the railroad. The continuance of the strilce Is greatly affecting
.Freeport's welfare and Its economy.
The show-cause order was presented to New York State Supreme
Court Justice Mario Pittoni on Tuesday. He signed the order and set
an emergency hearing schedule for Tuesday, August 2.

" CKiy Lombardo and his orchestra have been signed to play for
dancing on the Marine Deck of Guy Liombardo's East Point House restau- -
rant, Freeport, Long Island, Saturday nights, midolght-U3-3 A.M., starting
August 6.
