The Masque and Wig Club ol the
Preeport High recently decided to
present Paul Osborne's play. "On
Borrowed Time."

Wins High New York Times Praise
The Preeport High School auditorium wn? filled to SRO capacity
en Monday evening, October 31. for the Preeport debut of Les Grand.?
Ballets Canadiens. Over 600 students attended the special niitinee.
The Preeport Community Concert As.sociation wsi.s especially
pleased to ncte among the audience, Mr. John Martin, dance critic of
Ihf New Yorlc Times.
Followers o the Dance will find
his lengthy review in the Drama
itcKuii of the New York Times of
November 6, 1960. He described the
group as "a friendly, vivacious and
winning little aggregation" and said
that "it dance-> with vigor, animation
and the slickest kind of professional
zip."
For those accustomed to Russian
or British Ballet the French Canadian
Influences in the choreography
.^nd the dancing itself were
mo-'t interesting. Mme. Chlraeff,
founder, artistic director and choreographer
for the group, trys to
develop Canadian composers and
U5e Canadian lore a^ subject matter
whereever possible. She shares
the creative responsibilities with
Bnglish-born Eric Hyrst.

Plans Dance After
Game With FHS
In a Daze, the second Senior
Class dance of the year, will be
held in the Commons at 8 p.m., the
evening after th2 Freeport-Baldwin
football game. November 19.
Decorations are under the direction
of seniors Carol Brown and
J^an McGrath who, with an abstract
theme In mind, will employ
various geometric figures lor effect.
There seems to be quite a bit of
controversy concerning the winner
of the "big game," but senior class
president John De Luca optlmistic-
