Walter waa at a loss to under*tand the meaning of the few words of greeting or the broad sm^le on the faces of the members of the Observer Mtaff and his friends, until he acci¬ dentally noticed the bulletin board in the front of the building.
It seems that early in the day the announcement of his 22nd birthday was posted and that a niisehlevous iioy had made a plus sign between the two n^'ures. The gifts were typi¬ cal fourrli birtliday presents; rattles, (in liorn.-< and a variety of chMdren's play toys. Needh-ss to aay the day certainly was an eventful one.

Seeing-or Just Talking?
THE next time you say, "I've got to run out of town to see Smith," think it over and consider if you really want to see him or just talk to him.
Most of those tiresome and expensive business trips can be avoided and you can accomplish your purpose much more quickly and in nearly every case with as satisfactory results^if you travel the "Telephone Way "—just talk to him by telephone. „<,
And the difference in cost between "seeing" and "talking" makes the "tele¬ phone way" desirable.
