The mlAjtionary meeting of the Bap¬ tist Church waa held at Mrs. Meyera on Pine Street Monday afternoon, fol¬ lowed by eupper at %\x o'clock, and an entertainment In the evening. It wa.< one grand rucccrb. The hot sup¬ per wa,"* enjoyed by all. The entei- talnmrnt was flne and did great err 1 It to all who a.ssi.sted.
Thp music was fine, especially tbat rendered by Miss Bessie Smith. The Ringing, &n usual, wa.s of the bcRt. .Mi.ss Florence Fowler, recently re¬ turned from Lynbrook, nang several very sweet songs.
There wore over sixty people in at- tendancr. The receipts of the eve¬ ning wore more than was expected,
Mrs. Winship was the committee of entertainment, which consisted of music, recitations, tableaux and dia¬ logues.
