The lodge room was beaufifully decorated In the na¬ tional colorn, causioK each person as be or she entered to feel the breath of pairiotiain shoot from head to foot. p]xtra seating accotnmodatlons bad to bc provided, and even then many per- nons were unable to obtain seats.
Ah each person entered he or she was jiresented with a HaK pin, and a card prograin, the front cover of ¦which carried a most beautiful design in intertwined American tlags sur¬ rounded by gold.
After a majority of the audience bad been seated the Freeport Home Guard, in uniform, led by .Major Frank H. Holland and Capt. F>dward E, Chase, entered and took seats re¬ served for them. A minute after en¬ tei ed members nf I). P. P. Mott Post, No. i,'27, O. A. R., led by Commander William H. Patterson.
