PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that
on September 23,1967, the Board
of fire Commissioners of the
Farmingdale Fire District, in
the Town of Oyster Bay, New
York, adopted a resolution entitled:
" RESOLUTION OF THE
FARMINGDALE FIRE DIS -
TRICT IN THE TOWN OF OYSTER
BAY, COUNTY OF NASSAU,
NEW YORK, ADOPTED
SEPTEMBER 23, 1967, AUTHORIZING
THE PUR< HASE
OF A MAINTENANCE TRUCK
WITH PLOW ATTACHMENT,
FOR THE USE OF SAID FIRE
DISTRICT, APPROPRIATING
$ 7,000.00 THEREFORE AND
AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE
OF SAID A-MOUNT
FROM THE CAPI-TALRESERVE
FUND FOR
THE ACQUISITION OF FIRE
APPARATUS AND EQUIPMENT
PREVIOUSLY ADOPTED
BY SAID DISTRICT,
an abstract of which resolution
concisely stating the purpose and
ef'ect thereof, is as follows:
FIRST: AUTHORIZING that a
maintenance truck with plow at,
tachment be purchased for the
use of said fire district, STATING
the estimated maximum cost
of said specific object or purpose,
includingpreliminary costs
and costs incidental thereto is
$ 7,000.00 and APPROPRIATING
SAID AMOUNT THEREFORE;
SECOND: AUTHORIZING the
expenditure of the sum of $ 7,-
000.00 for said specific objector
purpose from moneys now available
therefore in the Capital Reserve
Fund for the Acquisition
of Fire Apparatus and Equipment
heretofore previously duly
established pursuant to resolution
AUTHORIZING and DIRECTING
the Fire District Treasurer
to set aside and apply the
said amount solely to said specific
object or purpose, and DETERMINING
that said specific
object or purpose is the purchase
of a maintenance truck
with plow attachment for the
use of the said district;
THIRD: DETERMINING that
the authorization by the Board of
Fire Commissioners of said Fire
District is required by law to
be subject to permissive referendum;
FOURTH: DETERMINING that
the resolution shall take effect
thirty ( 30) days after its adoption,
unless within thirty ( 30)
days a petition shall be filed
pursuant to the provisions of
Section 6- g of the General Municipal
Law, protesting against the
resolution and requesting that it
be submitted to the electors for
their approval or disapproval.

PENALTIES:
The following scale of penalties
is prescribed by the law for
neglect to pay the School Taxes
after they have become due and
payable.
( 1) First half due and payable
October 1, 1967. If paid on or
before November 10th no penalty.
If paid after November 10th penalty
will be added at the rate of
one per centum per month following
date of payment.
( 2) Second half due and payable
April 1st, 1968. If paid
on or before May 10th no penalty.
If paid after May 10th penalty
will be added at the rate
of one per centum per month
following date of payment or
time of sale as provided by law.
Unpaid School taxes will be
returned to the County Treasurer,
Mineola, New York on May
31st, 1968.
DISCOUNTS:
Discount allowed on second half
tax if full year's tax is paid
on or before November 10th at
the rate of one per centum of
second half. No discount allowed
on payment made after November
10th.
Taxes are payable by cash, certified
check or money order.
Uncertified checks will be subject
to collection only.
When sending for bills, please
state the Section, Block and Lot
Numbers in/ accordance with the
Nassau County Land and Tax
Map, and also give the School
District location.
