as an administrative specialist
at Amarillo Air Force
Base, Texas.
The airman, who has just completed
Air Force basic training
at Amarillo, is a 1966 graduate
of Augusta Military Academy,
Fort Defiance, Virginia.
Anthony Chernis, 21, son of Mr.
and Mrs. John M. Chernis, 131
Yoakum Ave., South Farming-dale,
was promoted to Army
rank of specialist four at Fort
Hood, Texas where he is serving
with the Second Armored Division.
Chernis, a mechanic, entered
the Army in August 1966 and
received his basic training at
Ft. Gordon, Georgia.

been awarded U. S. Air Force
silver pilot wings upon graduation
at Williams Air Force Base,
Arizona.
The lieutenant was commissioned
in 1966 upon completion
of Officer Training School at
Lackland Air Force Base, Tex--
as. He received his B. A. degree
in psychology in 1964 from Ad-elphii
University, and did post
graduate work at Texas Christian
University.
Lieutenant Calder's wife is the
former Manuela N. Maaricio
from the Philippines.
