Plainedge Loses To League Leaders;
Dalers Win Second

The victory was considered a
mild upset just after the previous
week's upset over Syosset.
The Dalers scored in the

Powerhouse league - leading
Hicksville will play host this
Saturday to the Dalers and if
Coach Don Snyder can pull another
upset, he could very well rate
the Coach of the Year award.
Hicksville is said to be even
stronger than last year and are
headed for another undefeated

Berner Still Undefeated; Chiefs Beaten
In a game played last Saturday
at the Clarke High School
field, the Berner Bisons eked
out a 13- 12 victory in a non-league
encounter.
The Bisons scored first when,
Tom Hamm hit pay dirt on a two
yard plunge. Hamm and Dennis
Quinn had combined to bring the
ball into scoring position.
In the second quarter Hamm
again tallied on a line plunge
after a 40 yard drive. Mike
Capone added the extra point
with a placement kick.
The Bisons were not able to
hold the Clarke High School
eleven during the second half.
Coach Bill Brown cited Mike
Capone's interception at the goal
during the last play of the game
as the key defensive maneuver
of the game.
The win brings Berner's
record to 5 wins and no losses.
Berner is scheduled to play
Hewlett High School in what is
Police Report
Vandalism
Seventh Precinct Police received
over 50 teenage prankster
calls of various kinds over
the Halloween holiday.
The police, however, reported
that they recieved over a score
of calls about damaged autos,
broken windshields, windows, and
at least in two cases, tires were
slashed.
Automobile windows reported
broken came from complainents
on Park Boulevard, Massapequa
Park, St. Marks Place, and South
Bay Drive, Massapequa. Eight
autos were damaged on Forest
Avenue and one Volkswagen was
reported tipped over. On Merrick
Road and Clocke Boulevard, one
complainant reported that his
tires had been slashed and on
Stone Boulevard in West Amity-ville,
one auto owner reported
two windows broken.
On Lake Shore Drive, Massapequa
Park the rear windows of
six autos were damaged and on
Broadway, Massapequa Park a
brick was thrown through a bedroom
window.
The police report also showed
that a kitchen window was broken
by a vandal on Sum mitt Drive,
Massapequa.
