Little League for the past 11
years. Nelson was a former member
of the Massapequa High Dad's
Club.
The candidate is a member of
the chaperon committee for the
Teen Canteen church socials at
St. David's Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Clark Boulevard, Massapequa
Park. He also served in
the past as Councilman of St.
David's.
His military service includes
assignment to the Naval Group
in China Theatre of operations.
He served as a member of the
U. S. Navy from November 1942
to December 1945. He also was
graduated from the U. S. Navy
School of Printing, Washington,
D. C.
Nelson was graduated from
Grover Cleveland High School,
Ridgewood, Queens. He also attended
the Delehanty Institute
where he studied law enforcement
and public relations.
Nelson is married to Jan Nelson
and the couple celebrated
their 25th wedding anniversary
and have three sons.
