Ellen Ruth Lewis, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Lewis of
7 Rosewood Drive Massapequa,
became the bride of Jack Kant,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert
Kant of Hicksville last Sunday.
The wedding took place at the
Huntington Town House and was
followed by a reception.
The bride wore a gown of silk
organza and was attended by her
cousin, Ellen Late, of Massapequa.
The best man was Jerry
Grosslicht and the ushers were
George Kant, Peter Arnot, Roger
Sorhagen and Robert Sweet.
The bride and groom are both
graduates of the State University
of Farnr ngdale. She isemployed
as a secretary with National
Music Publishers Assocationand
the groom is employed as a mechanical
engineer. They will
reside in Jericho, after a honeymoon
trip to Martha's Vineyard.

at the Farmingdale Methodist
Church. The Rev. Kenneth
Hoover presided at the ceremony.
The bride wore a silk A line
dress with a round neck with an
overlay of lace with long sleeves
and falling into a short train.
She wore a short illusion veil with
a crown of seed pearls. She carried
a cascade bouquet of orchids
and glemelos.
The maid- of- honor, her sister,
Pamela Jaisle, wore a candy
pink A- line dress with high neck,
ft was sleeveless and had white

Mrs. Taylor Given
Farewell Party
A farewell duplicate bridge
luncheon was held on Tuesday in
honor of Mrs. Charles H. Taylor
formerly of East Shore Drive,
now of Amityville at the home of
Mrs. Robert Niddrie of Exeter
Road in Harbor Green.
Mrs. Taylor is moving to Chicago
to join her daughter Jean.
Mrs. ^ Taylor was a member of
the Massapequa Women's Club
for many years. She was active
in many club activities and on
committees of state level federated
woman's clubs^ Her husband
had a bridge supply company
and the Taylors were always avid
bridge players.
Mrs. Taylor was a prominent
member of the DAR.
Youth Arrested For
Drug Possession
Robert Stretton, 20, of 1 Sherman
Road, Farmingdale, was arrested
by patrolman Bernard Falk
at Midwood Avenue and South
Main Street and charged with
possession of a dangerous drug.
Stretton was also charged with
resisting arrest.
Dents To Hold Cake Sale
A cake sale will be held at
the campaign headquarters of the
9th AD at 1019 Park Boulevard,
Massapequa Park on Friday, August
