Father Haight
Guest
Of Honor
The Rev. J. Malcom Haight
and Mrs. Haight were the
guests of honor at a Tea on
Sunday afternoon, December
1, 1968 marking Father Hai-ght's
Twentieth Anniversary
as Rector of Grace Church.
During the Tea Father Haight
was presented with a purse
from the Families of the Parish.
The presentation was
made by the Senior Warden,
Mr. William F. Hale.
A Guest Book signed by all
those attending the Tea was
presented to the Rector by
Mr. Harry Howard, who was
Senior Warden when Father
Haight was called to Grace
Parish.
In the years that Father
Haight has been at Grace
Church, it has grown from
a comparatively small congregation
into one of the
largest families in the Episcopal
Church. Grace Church
was built in 1844 and will
celebrate its 125th anniversary
in October of next
year.

The next meeting of the
National Council of Jewish
Women Evening Study Group
will be held at the home of
Ann Mayer, 131 Chester
Ave., Massapequa, on Sunday,
December 8, at 8: 00
P. M. SHARP.
The group is most fortunate
to have Dr. Warren
Schumacher, vice- president
of the Nassau- Suffolk Branch
of Sex Information and Education
Council of the U. S.
as their speaker.
Dr. Schumacher will discuss
" Changes in Our Sex
Attidues." He will answer
the following questions: Is
sex permissiveness becoming
more prevalnt? Are
there more sex relationships
outside marriage? Will sex
become obsolete with overpopulation?
The evening promises to
be lively and entertaining.

The St. Kilian Boychoir of
Farmingdale, New York, will
present a program of Christmas
music at the December
17th meeting of The National
Secretaries Association ( International),
Long Island Chapter.
The meeting will be held

one of the most renowned
musical groups in the country
and has performed at Lincoln
Center with Leonard Bernstein

the Boychoir and Phyllis
Curtin directed by Andre
Kostelanetz entitled " Wishing
You a Merry Christmas."

Army Private First Class
Walter W. Johnson, of Farmingdale,
N. Y., a patient at
the U. S. Army Hospital, Camp
Zama, Japan, received a surprise
visit recently from Billy
Muffett, pitching coach with
the 1968 National League
champion St. Louis Cardinals
baseball team.
Several members of the
team are in Japan on a goodwill
playing tour sponsored
by a Tokyo newspaper. They
took time out on this occasion
to spread a little cheer among
the patients, chatting with
them and autographing baseballs
and pictures.

of Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Johnson, 474 Fulton St.
Army Specialist Four James
J. Weir, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs.
James Weir, 24 Page Lane,

November 1 to the 190th Assault
Helicopter Company
near Bien Hoa, Vietnam, as
a clerk.

Park, was assigned to the 1st
Infantry Division near Diean,
Vietnam, as a combat engineer.
Thomas L. LoVerde, 20,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas
LoVerde of 342 N. Michigan
Avenue, North Massapequa,
was promoted to Army specialist
four near Aschaffen-burg,
Germany, where he is
serving with the 3rd Infantry
Division as a cook.
