MUSIC DEPARTMENT
PERFORMS
The Howitt Junior High
School Band and Chorus
presented a seasonal music
program for the residents
of the Holly Patterson Home
for the Aged on Thursday
afternoon, December 19.
Several music groups from
Mill Lane Junior High School
performed at both the Suffolk
State School in Melville
and at Central Islip State
Hospital on December 17
and 19.
CHURCH TO
RECOGNIZE STUDENTS
Sunday, Derp^ iber 29, is
Student Recognition Sunday
at the Farmingdale Methodist
Church, when 15 collegians
will participate in
the two worship services.
The general theme, " God's
People in Mission" will be
the theme of the services
and the subject of a dialogue
sermon in which both
pastors and collegians will
participate.
FIREMAN OF THE YEAR: John Kort of the Farmingdale
Fire Department ( right) receives his " Volunteer Fireman
of the Year" award from Joseph Franklin, Sales Manager of
a beverage firm, at a recent banquet honoring 130 Long
Island volunteers. Each of the firemen was chosen by his
department chief for outstanding performance of duty
throughout the year.

Superwide 10" focal length
overhead projector, will, at
