F'dale 4H Club
Organized
A new 4- H Club was organized
in Farmingdale
called the Wise Owls of
Farmingdale. New members
include Diane Koch, Cindy
Gross, Debbie Gross, Cathy
Gross, Susan Mastromaurop
Carol Abramski, Kary
Spinetta, and Kathy Abramski.
The club meets early
Monday afternoon at 4: 15
p. m. The leaders ard Mrs.
Gross, and Mrs. Abramski.
Comedienne Claire Windsor
will entertain at the
Monday December 9, monthly
meeting at the B'nai
B'rith Colossus Chapter, at
8: 30 p. m.
Team Boasts
Local Talent
Ronnie Dale, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Lewis Dale of 26
Frawk Avenue, Farmingdale,
is a member of the 1968- 69 Illinois
Wesleyan University
Drama Deputation team.
The team is one of five
teams sponsored by the University
Christian Movement
at Wesleyan. The teams appear
in churches in the midwest
for rallies and youth
group meetings. Other teams
are vocations, worship, folk-singing
and workshop.
Mr. Dale is a freshman
at IWU, majoring in English
and is a 1968 graduate of
Farmingdale Senior High
School.

Spotlighted
At Library
Friends of the Farming-dale
Library at their next
meeting, Wednesday, December
4th, at 8: 15 p. m. in
the Branch Library, will offer
a special treat to their
membership and to the general
public when a group of
Long Island poets who write
original items and contribute
to the Poetry Journal Lyris-mos
will read from their
collections.
The music teachers of the
Farmingdale Public Schools
are composing original music
to accompany these readings.
You will be exposed
to the ultimate in creativity
with the musician improvising
to original contemporary
poetry.
The Poets are for the
most part teachers in Long
Island schools and colleges,
but student poets will be included
in the program.
The poet participants include:
David Conford, State
University at Farmingdale;
Charles Fishman, teacher in
Bellmore; Robert Pasca,
teacher in East Meadow and
Keith Balser, senior Farmingdale
High School.
Composers and Musicians:
Charles Weiss; Solomon
Flum, Brad De Milo and
Ingrid De Milo.
Lutheran High Receives Honor Flag
( international Presentation —
the Honorable Mr. Horst
Pelckmann ( r) Consul General
of the Federal Republic
of Germany, present the
flag of his nation to the
Reverend Donald Pohlers,
Head of the German department
at Long Island
Lutheran High School in
Brookville. The presentation
was made at the conclusion
of Mr. Pelckmann's address
on German history to the
school's faculty and student
body. Mr. Pelckmann once
served as the defense counsel
at the Nuremberg Trials.

on Nov 26, 1968. Survived
by 3 daughters, 8

at St. Kilian R. C. Church,
SATURDAY, at9: 45a. m. Interment
will be in St. Charles
