team posted a pair of league
wins to go into 3- 0 tie with
Freeport in league action.
The Bisons edged Mepham 39-
38 in a low scoring game and
then walloped Bellmore Kennedy
74- 43 in prepartion for a showdown
with Freeport this Friday,
Joe DeDonato led Berner in the
Kennedy game with 17 points
while McGrath set the pace in the
Mepham game with 12 markers.
Massapequa High lost a pair
this past week to Lawrence and
Uniondale.
Barrett was the only Chief to

In the Berner Teenage Basketball
League, the M jtros belted the
Dandelions 44- 6. The Metros,
paced by the high scoring of
Howie Reade with 15 points and
Sandy Greenstein overwhelmed
the Dandelions.
In an exciting Section I Contest,
the Pubbers remaned ? JI
second place b. y edging the Wizards
34 - 14. Despite the efforts
of Mike Hanna's seven points,
the Pubbers proved loo much for

In a Section II Contest, the

period when Plainedge scored
only five points. Amendola wound
up with 14 markers while Spier
tailed 20.
Coach Jerry Fiorenza's team
will be idle this Friday.
Dalers Upset Herricks
Farmingdale High pulled off a
stunning upset by upending an
undefeated Herricks basketball
team in a triple overtime by a
score 50- 46.
Coach Bob Mulligan's lads
trailed 17- 2 at the first quarter
mark suffering from a low percentage
shooting average which
has been their nemesis all
season. The Dalers pulled
to within 26- 17 at the half when
they slowed down the pacetoplav
a deliberate brand of ball.
After a third quarter 33- 33
tie, the teams scored ten marks
each to send the game into overtime.
Neither team was able to
score in the first two extra
periods.
A field goal by Mableton was
the clincher for the Daler win.
Mac Arthur will appear in
Farmingdale this Friday in game
slated for 8: 15 p. m.
The Dalers are now 1- 2 in
league and 3- 5 overall.

RESOLVED:
( a) That the Board of Education
of Union Free School District No.
22 of the Towns of Oyster Bay,
Nassau County, and Babylon, Suffolk
County, New York ( herein
called " District") is hereby authorized
to expend an amount not
to exceed $ 988,000 in addition to
the amount of $ 4,470,000 heretofore
authorized to be expended
pursuant to subdivision 2. of
paragraph ( a) of the Proposition
approved by the qualified voters
at the Special District Meeting
held on November 19, 1966, for
the construction of additions and
alterations to the existing
Senior High School Building at
the southwest corner of the intersection
of Intervale Avenue and
Lincoln Street, in Farmingdale,
in the District, and to purchase
the original furnishings, equipment,
machinery and apparatus
required for the purposes for
which said additions and said
Building as altered are to be
used, the estimated maximum
cost thereof, including said additional
expenditure and preliminary
costs and costs incidental
thereto and the financing
thereof, being $ 5,458,000, and a
tax in the amount of not to exceed
$ 988,000 is hereby voted for said
additional expenditure to be
levied by installments in such
years and in such amounts as
may be determined by said
Board of Education; and ( b) in
anticipation of said tax, bonds
of the District are hereby authorized
to be issued in the
principal amount of not to exceed
$ 988,000 and a tax is hereby voted
to pay the interest on the said
bonds as the same shall become
due and payable.

NOTICE that the Board of Registration
of this School District
shall meet on:
Saturday, February 3, 1968
from 10: 00 o clock A. M.
( E. S. T.) until 10: 00 o'clock
P. M. ( E. S. T.)

Building, Van Cott and Grant
Avenues, Farmingdale, New

purpose of preparing a Register
of the qualified voters of the
District for said Special District
Meeting, at which lime any person
shall be entitled to have his/ her
name placed upon such Register
provided that at such meeting
of the Board of Registration,
he/ she is known or proven to
the satisfaction of such Board
of Registration to be then or
thereafter entitled to vote at the
Special District Meeting for
which such Register is prepared.
The Register of the qualifed
voters of said District prepared
at the last Annual District Meeting
and Election held on May 2
and 3, 1967, and the Register
prepared for the Special District?
Meeting held on June 10, 1967
and August 29, 1967, shall be
used by said Board of Registration
as the basis for the
preparation of the Register for
said Special District Meeting.
Any person whose name appears
on such Register or who shall
have been previously registered
for any Annual or Special District •
Meeting or Flection and who
shall have voted at any Annual
or Special District Meeting or
Election held or conducted at any
time within two ( 2) years prior
to the preparation of the Register
for this Special District Meeting
will not be required to register
personally for this Special
District Meeting.
No person will be entitled to
vote at such Special District
Meeting whose name does not
appear on the Register of the
School District so prepared for
the Special District Meeting.
Immediately upon its completion,
said Register shall be
filed in the Office of the District
Clerk where it shall be open
for inspection by a qualified
voter of the District between
the hours of 9: 00 o'clock A. M.
and 3: 30 P. M. on each day thereafter
( except Sundays) up to and
including the day set for the said
Special District Meeting.
