Saufley Field Naval Auxiliary
Air Station at Pensacola, Florida,
where he took part in a basic
Flight Indoctrination Field ft- ip.
During the field trip, he was
given an indoctrination flight in
the T- 34 Mentor, a military version
of the Beech- craft Bonanza.
Saufley Field, part of the Naval
Air Basic Training Command,
provides flight training for future
Navy, Marine Corps and Coast
Guard aviators.

Achievement Medal with Combat
" V."
He received the award in ceremonies
at Marine Barracks,
Eighth and " I " St., Washington,
D. C.
Lieutenant Keller was cited for
superior performance as commanding
officer, Headquarters
and Service Company, Third Battalion,
Seventh Marines, First
Marine Division, and as adjutant
of the same battalion in Vietnam
from July 1966 to July 1967.
First Lieutenant Keller entered
the service in October 1951.
