to Valley Stream Central in a
league away game last Friday,
The Pequans were unable to
control the boards in the second
half which cost them the game.
The Chiefs took a 12- 8 first
quarter lead and led 37- 36 at
the third quarter mark. Tom
Kelly led losers attack with 14
points.
Massapequa now 1- 4 in league
action will entertain Sewanhaka
at home this Friday at 8: 00 p. m.
The Plainedge High School
Dads will sponsor a faculty -
student basketball game on Friday,
March 8 at the High School

Dalers Dumped Twice
In Close Contests
Farmingdale High School
basketball team was the victim
of two close North Shore I League
defeats this past week.
The Dalers were engaged in
a nip and tuck battle with Mac-
Arthur before going down by a
48- 44 count.
Coach Don Snyder's squad took
on a strong Roslyn team on
Tuesday and in a low scoring
game held the lead 42- 41 until
the last minute only to lose by
a 43- 42 count. Farmingdale had
led 28- 27 at the end of the
third period.
McDaniels led the Dalers with
14 points while Mableton was
high man for Farmingdale with
18 points in the Mac Arthur loss.
The team will journey to Hicks -
ville this Friday and take on a
tough opponent in a game slated
for 8: 15 p. m.

last Friday in a South Shore
Section II contest.
Joe DeDonato led the Bisons
in the losing effort with a team
high of 15 points. The Bisons

In a game that found the Bisons
contending with a team that could
score at will, Coach Chris
Sweeney commented, " Tonight
they had too much for u s ."
The Bisons will journey to

to expend an amount not
to exceed $ 988,000 in addition to
the amount of $ 4,470,000 heretofore
authorized to be expended
pursuant to subdivision 2. of
paragraph ( a) of the Proposition
approved by the qualified voters
at the Special District Meeting
held on November 19, 1966, for
the construction of additions and
alterations to the existing
Senior High School Building at
the southwest corner of the intersection

of the Board of Education adopted
January 3, 1968, a Special
District Meeting of the qualified
voters of Union Free School
District No. 22 of the Towns of
Oyster Bay, Nassau County, and
Babylon, Suffolk County, New
York, will be held in the gymnasium
of the Weldon E. Howitt
Junior High School Building, Van
Cott and Grant Avenues, Farmingdale,
New York, in" said
School District, on FEBRUARY
10, 1968, at 6: 45 o'clock A. M.
( I . S. T.) for the purpose of voting
upon the Proposition stated below.
The voting will be by ballot
on voting machines as provided
by the I duration Law and the polls
will remain open from 7: 00
o'clock A. M. ( I . S. T.) until 10: 00
o'clock P. M.( I . S. T.) and as much

cost thereof, including said additional
expenditure and preliminary
costs and costs incidental
thereto and the financing
thereof, being $ 5,458,000, and a
tax in the amount of not to exceed
$ 988,000 is hereby voted for said
additional expenditure to be
levied by installments in such
years and in such amounts as
may be determined by said
Board of Education; and ( b) in
anticipation of said tax, bonds
of the District are hereby authorized
to be issued in the
principal amount of not to exceed
$ 988,000 and a tax is hereby voted
to pay the interest on die said
bonds as the same shall become
due and payable.

NOTICE that the Board of Registration
of this School District
shall meet on:
Saturday, February 3, 1968
from 10: 00 o clock A. M.
( EJS. T.) until 10: 00 o'clock

Building, Van Cott and Grant
Avenues, Farmingdale, New
York, in said District, for the
purpose of preparing a Register
of the qualified voters of the
District for said Special District
Meeting, at which time any person
shall be entitled to have his/ her
name placed upon such Register
provided that at such meeting
of the Board of Registration,
he/ she is known or proven to
the satisfaction of such Board
of Registration to be then or
thereafter entitled to vote at the
Special District Meeting for
which such Register is prepared.
The Register of the qualifed
voters of said District prepared
at the last Annual District Meeting
and Election held on May 2
and 3, 1967, and the Register
prepared for the Special District
Meeting held on June 10, 1967
and August 29, 1967, shall be
used by said Board of Registration
as the basis for the
preparation of the Register for
said Special District Meeting.
Any person whose name appears
on such Register or who shall
have been previously registered
for any Annual o r Special District
Meeting or Election and who
shall have voted at any Annual
or Special District Meeting or
Election held or conducted at any
time within two ( 2) years prior
to the preparation of the Register
for this Special District Meeting
will not be required to register
personally for this Special
District Meeting.
No person will be entitled to
vote at such Special District
Meeting whose name does not
appear on the Register of the
School District so prepared for
the Special District Meeting.
Immediately upon its completion,
said Register shall be
filed in the Office of die District
Clerk where it shall be open
for inspection by a qualified
voter of the District between
the hours of 9: 00 o'clock A. M.
and 3: 30 P. M. on each day thereafter
( except Sundays) up to and
including the day set for the said
Special District Meeting.
