NOTICE TO BIDDERS
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that
sealed proposals will be received
by the Board of Education of Union
Free School District No. 22,
Towns of Oyster Bay and Babylon,
Counties of Nassau and Suffolk,
New York, for transportation of
pupils residing within the School
District, to and from all public
and non- public schools within the
district and other non- public
schools within ten miles of the
School District boundaries,
extra- curricular activities, and
for athletic trips and educational
field trips for the period from
September 1, 1968, to June 30,
1969. Bids will also be received
for contracts extending over a
three year period.
Bids will be received and
publicly opened by the Board of
Education at 11: 00 A. M. ( DST) on
May 14, 1968, in the Business
Office, 521 Conklin Street, Farm-ingdale,
N. Y.
Contract specifications will be
available at the office of the
District Clerk, 521 Conklin
Street, Farmingdale, New York,
any week day Monday through
Friday, between 9: 00 A. M. and
3: 00 P. M.( DST) c o m m e n c i ng

The Board of Education reserves
the right to award a one
year or a three year contract
and also reserves the right to
accept or reject any or all bids

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING
THE INSUANCE OF $ 30,-
000 SERIAL BONDS OF THE
TOWN OF OYSTER BAY,
NASSAU COUNTY, NEW
YORK, TO PAY THE COST OF
THE INSTALLATION OF CERTAIN
LATERAL WATER
MAINS IN THE MASSAPEQUA
WATER DISTRICT IN SAID
TOWN, KNOWN AS EXTENSION
NO. 107.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the
Town Board of the Town of
Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New
York, as follows:
Section 1. In accordance with
a resolution duly adopted by the
Town Board of the Town of Oyster
Bay, Nassau County, New York,
on November 21,1967( Resolution
# 2009- 1967), there are hereby
authorized to be issued $ 30,000
serial bonds of said Town for the
specific object or purpose of
paying the cost of the installation
of the following described water
mains in and for the Massapequa
Water District in said Town,
known as Extension No. 107:
a) Southerly side of Sunrise
Highway from Park Boulevard
westerly to New York
Avenue, at a maximum estimated
cost of $ 15,000, and
b) Southerly side of Sunrise
Highway from Park Boulevard
easterly to Brooklyn
Avenue, at a maximum estimated
cost of $ 15,000.
Section 2. The total estimated
cost of the aforesaid items is
$ 30,000, and the plan for the
financing thereof is by the issuance
of the $ 30,000 serial
bonds herein authorized.
Section 3. It is hereby deter-mined
that the period of probable
usefulness of the aforesaid
specific object or purpose is
forty year, pursuant to subdivision
1 of paragraph a of
Section 11.00 of the Local
Finance Law, and that the maximum
maturity of the serial bonds
herein authorized will exceed
five years.
Section 4. The faith and credit
of said Town of Oyster Bay
Nassau County, New York, are
hereby irrevocably pledged to the
payment of the principal of and
interest on such bonds as the
same respectively become due
and payable. An annual appropriation
shall be made in each
year sufficient to pay the
principal of and interest on such
bonds becoming due and payable
in such year. There shall an-naully
be apportioned and a s sessed
upon the several lots and
parcels of land in said Water District
especially benefited by the
aforesaid improvements in proportion
to the amount of benefit
which said improvements shall
confer upon the same, and in the
manner provided in the Town
Law, an amount sufficient to pay
the principal of and interest on
such bonds as they shall become
due and payable. In the event
that the annual collection of such
assessments shall be less than
the amount required to pay the
principal and interest on such
bonds as they shall become due
and payable, the Town Board
shall direct that surplus moneys'
not otherwise appropriated be
applied.
Section 5. Subject to the provisions
of the Local Finance
Law, the power to authorize the
issuance of and to sell bond anticipation
notes in anticipation
of the issuance and sale of the
serial bonds herein authorized,
including renewals of such notes,
is hereby delegated to the Supervisor,
the chief fiscal officer.
Such notes shall be of such
terms, form and contents, and
shall be sold in such manner as
may be prescribed by said
Supervisor, consistent with the
provisions of the Local Finance
Law.
Section 6. The validity of such
bonds may be contested only if:
1) Such bonds are authorized
for an object or purpose for
which said Town is not authorized
to expend money,
or
2) The provisions of law which
should be complied with at
the date of publication of this
resolution are not substantially
complied with,
and an action, suit or proceeding
contesting such validity is commenced
within twenty days after
the date of such publication, or
3) Such bonds are authorized in
violation of the provisions
of the Constitution.
Section 7. This resolution,
which takes effect immediately,
shall be published in full in Long
Island Press, Massapequa Post
and Massapequa Observer, together
with a notice of the Town
Clerk in substantially the form
provided in Section 81.00 of the
Local Finance Law.
