Eaater Sunday in the churches will be replete with special
lusical programs and services. It is as it should be, a reflection i p-^"''^'-
f k joyous spirit among Christiana- Little is known of the in-
ividual effort put forth to produce the musica^ giory of an
Ea.ster Sunday morning. Hundreds of men. Women, girb and
boy.s, who sing in church choirs, give up pleasurable pursuits
that they might perfect themselves in the khowiedge of the
Easter anthems. Choir directors work hard at reliearsals, en-
¦oring to weld in harmonious tones many voices. No Mrrong
.' must be struck on Easter morning. The congregation ex-
)ects something exceptional. And they'receive it.
Together with the mu.sic of Eaater worship are the messages ^•which the preachers prepare. They all have the same base, buC are told in different ways. The preacher is also keyed to --;..give something exceptional. He does not usually disappoint. With all these great efforts put forth to glorify and please, how much of the populace is attracted? Do many realize the ^.^
work and effort put forth to draw their attention to the season'j^,
of the religious year? It i.s worthy of thought.^ But, was one ,.|^^^, ,„ j,,,, ^ravo iie u^y
' able to rise to heights above, and h«ar at one time, the music of many instruments and hundreds of voices, singing praise and glory to God, then only could one realize the extent of the glorification. , , , , ,
It is truly a great hurrah. But it la a great hurrah of .solemn meaning. It is praise sung loudly and extensively—a praise 'aung to the Creator and Redeemer of all mankind.
Think then, !s it not your duty to attend church on Easter
Sunday? If not at all services, at lea.st at one of them? Look at
,,tho notices, if you are not a regular attendant, choose a church
tv ""hearby, with music and sermon to your liking. Go and en-
\ ' ' courage those who are endeavoring to make this world better
to live in
