The skeleton of a man clothed In the uniform of a soldier «»#- bygone da.vs has been unearthed from the pent flt Barrock, near Thurso, Cnithness. Scotlnnd. It bad been bnrled at a depth of three feet. The skull showed the mark of a heavy blow, but the skeleton wns complete and In excellent preservation. The uniform, consisting of a smnll vest tunic, and n larger one, breeches, stockings anrt cap, all of gray flannel, showed no signs of de¬ cay. In the pocket of the tunic was a •kin purse, containing sixteen coins bearing the dale 1677.
