Dept.of N.Y. was called to order by Comdr.Poet in
the Dug-Out on the above date .
Minutes of the prev~ous meeting was approved as

~embership Com.met on the 4th. and went over
very extensive plans laid out by the chairman
\Val ter Schlflidt to be put in operation ~non1 Be b.
7th.to 19th inclusive .
Entertaimment Com.spokP of plans for a smoker
on Feb. 14th. and a out door carnival some time in
the future.upon a motion udopted the plans of both
were left in the hands of the Com.
Welfare Com. told of the tneatre party of children
fro ~· St. Giles Home•· to the Freeport Theatre. and
believes it would be a good plan for each poet in
the county to siruiliarly t!nt ertain them at le8•1J
one week a year.
Also states t hat there a r e a lot of x - service men
out of work,if any membe~ knows of a position
tl:ey should get in touch wi th Joe about san1e.
Athletic reports that a basket ball team has
offered to give the post 25~ of its profits for
playing under the n ame of the post,and that the
- post is not in any · .. ray financially obligated to
the terun· A motion was adopted accepting the above
proposition.
Drum corps making some p r ogress,the chairman
urges those who have instru.~lents that do not at tend

Chairman of Memorial Day Com.states that the
